The Hair Dressed team traveled to NYC for the International Beauty show. Due to the pandemic, we were not able to go to any shows for 3 years. Taking this trip with 2 new employees who never attended this show before, made it one of the most exciting trips we have ever had. 2 full days of education and shopping. The classes we attended were amazing, learning from true experts in this industry. From bridal makeup to bayalage and barbering to corrective color, we all got such inspiration from this show!
PREMIER PHILADELPHIA 2019
Our Team at Shear Dimensions visited Philadelphia this past weekend to attend the Premier Hair Show. This was our 2nd trip to this show and one we will always return to. Our first trip to philly our owner Jessica competed in their color/cut/style competition and took 3rd place. We returned this year with Jessica competing again in their short haircut and style competition where she took the trophy home for 1st place against 8 other skilled stylists from up and down the east coast. After celebrating we spent our second day attending classes teaching us skills on bridal makeup, new vivid and bayalage techniques from pravanna professionals and the latest in barbering styles. Licensed To create 2019
Our first time attending this show and we had a blast. Our staff traveled to Oxon Hill Maryland and attended the Mid-Atlantic Licensed To Create Hair Show. Located at the amazing Gaylord Convention Center. A smaller show but filled with the best in product and education with brands we use everyday in our salon. Here we attended 6 classes and got certified in 6 different parts of our trade. Our knowledge bundle included certification in blonding on curly textured hair, Mastering instagram/social media, Braiding and updo techniques, Corrective color must haves, Perfecting the perfect photo shoot with your client, and all the steps to a men’s fade. We came home super inspired from all the tips and tricks we picked up from the celebrity stylist with the urge to give our clients the best we can offer in any service they are in need of!
IBS New York 2019
March 2019 our staff attended our annual International Beauty Show in NYC. This year we attended another Hanzo Hattori class by Wayne Tuggle where we learned new layering techniques. Also we learned how to highlight with facets by Adrienne Rogers from Product Club which is a sectioning technique used to give the color diamond like dimensional shine.
Premier Philadelphia Hair Show 2018
Our Staff traveled to Philadelphia to attend the Premier Philadelphia Hair Show in September 2018. The show was amazing! There we got to meet Tabatha Coffey and watch her do hair on stage. We took a Bayalage class by Pravana, A Creative Cutting class by Hatori Hanzo Shears and a class on using Pravana Vivid’s to get the best results in exotic coloring. Also at the show Jessica competed in the Color/Cut/Style competition where she placed 3rd. We would like to specially thank Allison Valyo and Mimi Valyo for accompanying us on this trip and experiencing this amazing show with us! Allison was the model for the competition, below you will see her before and a bunch of after photos of Jessica’s work for the competition. We love to visit the shows and always return with the upmost inspiration and creative ideas that we cant wait to try on our clients.
Karal Professional Hair Show lake george 2018
In September 2018 our staff attended the Karal Professional Hair Show in Lake George NY. This was an awesome time not only did we get to learn more techniques on cutting, styling, and updo’s we also had lunch on the Adirondac Ship that took us for a 2 hour ride around beautiful Lake George.

In March 2018 our staff attended the IBS Show in Manhattan NYC. We attend this show annually to get the latest and best education in trends, color, cutting, styling, and product knowledge.
